Think Secret: Target Stores to sell iPod, sources confirm

Think Secret reports:

Apple will announce before November 3 that it has signed on Target as its second major US retailer to sell its iPod portable MP3 player... Sources report Target will only be selling the Windows version of the product.

An official company representative of Target Corporation, based in Minneapolis, MN, confirmed by email to Think Secret that the company would soon be selling the iPod.

Update [01:14 PM PDT]:

This CNET article reports ...several Target stores confirmed that they had the devices--both the Mac and the Windows varieties--on hand.

Update [03:09 PM PDT]:

One of our associates at SiK visited a Silicon Valley Target and confirms iPods are present behind the counter in the Electronics department. He reports that there were two iPod for Windows (10GB) and a box containing a display rack. The Target staff had no further information...
